Drive In Movie Night
When we planned to open a brand new luxory apartment building in March of 2020, we were brimming with ideas of our first year. The parties, the people, it was all panning out to be year to remember. And then, as February wound down, and construction came to an end, the unthinkable happened.
COVID-19 put a damper on many plans for many people. And for us, it meant our opening Gala was nothing more than a pipe dream. But what do you do when everything hits the fan? You improvise.
I knew I had to pull together an event for the summer to make our name known as the #1 place to live, and what better way to show our residents some love than with a classic movie night. Working with Fun Flicks, a local outdoor screen rental company, we were able to throw an event worth attending. Handing out classic movie theater confections like popcorn and candy really put the final peices in place for a night to remember.
Everyone pulled up their cars or their lawn chairs to enjoy a showing of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. The weather was great, and the popcorn was buttered. Who could ask for a better night?
